Fresh Flowers That Will Actually Impress Mom This Mother’s Day

Hey there!

As a flower company, we probably know way too much how important sending the perfect Mother’s Day flowers can be. After doing this for over 13 years (pinch us!), we’ve learned a thing or two about how to show your mom, bestie, memaw/glam-ma, or any other lovely lady in your life (total bonus points for mother-in-loves!) how much you appreciate her in, drum roll please… floral form.

Our CEO, Christina, and our incredible product team has spent a ton of time and consumed plenty of oat milk lattes to curate our most stunning Mother’s Day flower collection to date (we’re biased… but you’re so gonna love them!). Our biggest design philosophy is to design the types of flower arrangements that we ourselves would actually want to receive. Because who wants flowers that are anything but? From unique, handmade bouquets in a perfectly spring palette to vase arrangements designed with some of our absolute favorite blooms (looking at you David Austin roses and, of course, the coveted peony!), Farmgirl has something for every mom out there.

Now… how to pick the best flowers to send to mom? We’ve gathered some blooming good tips (see what we did there?) to help you choose the best Mother's Day flowers for the mom in your life. So, without further ado, here’s our tried-and-true tips for choosing the perfect Mother's Day bouquet!

Consider Mom's Preferences: When choosing Mother's Day flowers, think about what your mom loves… and doesn’t love. Does she have a favorite flower or color palette? Or better yet, maybe there’s a few she doesn’t like (so be sure to steer clear of those!). Is she more traditional, prefers something unique and trendy, or is new to flowers altogether? Tailoring your selection to her preferences will show her that you truly care and appreciate her individuality (and trust us - we know how hard it is not to choose your very own favorite!).

Lay On The Symbolism: Flowers totally have their own language, so why not choose blooms that convey a special message (and for such a sentimental occasion!). Some of our favorite Mother’s Day flowers (that we, of course, used when designing our Mother’s Day collection!) include David Austin roses, symbolizing love and gratitude, Lilies that represent devotion and purity, Peonies, which symbolize happiness and good fortune (and just so happens to be just about everyone’s fave!), and more.

Mix(ed Bouquet) it Up! Now, don’t get us wrong, we love a single stem moment. David Austin Roses, the coveted peony, and ranunculus stems are the La Mer of the floral world, so it’s no shocker they’re dressed to impress on their own. But for Mother’s Day (or any special occasion, that is), we love sending flower bouquets with a mixed variety of blooms for that little extra oomph. And, of course, it wouldn’t be a Farmgirl moment without foliage (aka lush greenery). We love, and often use, greenery to add texture and volume and enhance the overall look of your arrangement – and trust us, it’s a game changer!

Personalize with a Card: Finally, don't forget to include a genuine and heartfelt message with your Mother's Day flower delivery. While we can appreciate the store-bought card, take it a step further and opt for a handwritten message (psst… you can add a handwritten card to your Farmgirl order!) for that extra special touch. Whether it's short and sweet or a longer note expressing your gratitude, a handwritten card adds such a personal touch to your gift that mom will cherish.

Now that you’re a pro at how to choose the best Mother’s Day gift for the mom in your life, don’t wait until the last minute to order your Mother's Day flower delivery! Simply visit our online Mother's Day flower shop, choose your bouquet, and select your delivery date. We offer nationwide shipping, so no matter where Mom is, we’ll deliver your bouquet right to her doorstep in time for Mother's Day.

Happy Mother's Day from all of us at Farmgirl Flowers!

xx,

Team Farmgirl
